Frequently Asked Questions
Here are some of the most common queries we get asked by potential candidates. If you have a query that’s not answered here, please contact us.
How do you use my data?
We only collect the data we need to be able to source available opportunities, and any additional information that we need to progress through the different stages of recruitment. You can find out more about how we collect, use and store your data in our privacy policy.
How do I create an account?
You can register for an account with us here. We ask for your personal details, CV, cover letter and a password. If you don’t have your CV and cover letter ready quite yet, don’t worry as you can add these to your account later. Having an account enables you to shortlist jobs you’re interested in, apply for jobs, and create job alerts.
Can you help me improve my CV?
We have some great resources to help you write your CV in the first instance, which you can view here. Once you have submitted your CV, one of our consultants may suggest improvements to help with applications.
What happens once I submit my CV?
When your CV is received, it will be reviewed, depending on your specialism and the type of job you are looking for. Your consultant will look for a selection of roles that could suit your criteria and will send them to you. If we have suitable roles, we can then support you through the application process, advise you on the client and give you interview tips.
Should I include my address on my CV?
It used to be standard to put your full address on your CV, however it can take up valuable space. We suggest you include your post code and contact details (email, phone number, LinkedIn profile link).
Will you tell me before you send my CV to your clients?
Yes, we will always ask which opportunities you wish to progress with.
How long does it normally take to get an interview with a client?
The shortlisting process can vary from client to client. We pride ourselves on getting to know our candidates and our clients to build a clear idea of what all parties are looking for. This increases your chance of getting interviews, so you should see progress quicker than seeking a role for yourself.
How long is the interview process?
Will I need to do a technical test?
Most roles within IT and technology will require some form of technical test, designed to ensure your skills are at the appropriate level and to assess your problem-solving abilities. We can help you prepare for what to expect based on feedback from other candidates.
