Overview
De La Rue has been with Spectrum IT since 2008, making them one of our longest-standing and most valued partnerships. When we began working together, the company was delivering the high-profile British Passport project, requiring a rapid increase in specialist Software Engineering talent to build secure and scalable digital services.
The internal HR team faced challenges sourcing the volume of skilled engineers needed at pace, and strong candidates were sometimes being secured by faster-moving competitors. Working closely with hiring managers, we identified opportunities to speed up and strengthen their hiring process. By refining interview stages, providing accurate salary benchmarking, and introducing process efficiencies, we helped reduce bottlenecks and significantly improve time-to-hire and candidate conversion rates.
Once aligned on requirements and expectations, we applied our deep industry knowledge and extensive talent network to support fast and effective hiring without compromising on quality. Over the years, this has expanded into recruitment across both permanent and contract roles, including building a full contract test function consisting of six Quality Assurance Engineers.
To date, Spectrum IT has supported De La Rue with over 30 permanent hires and more than 20 contractors, helping them scale efficiently and deliver secure, mission-critical digital projects.
